The college was established in the year 2007 to meet out the need of teachers in present & for the coming time. The teacher education programme of the college is designed to bring out physical, intellectual, emotional and ethical integration of an individual with a view to develop a complete person. The core courses on culture education, moral and religious education, school management imparted through scientific methodology, general knowledge, cultural affairs, rural development, social services, co-curricular activities, literacy activities, games and supports enable the college to realize its objective of imparting value based education which can be only be imparted successfully if it can be brought into practice in all aspects of campus life.

The Government of Himachal Pradesh exercises its control over the colleges by means of regulating the fee and other charges to be charged from the students.
